Jackie , the ultrasound specialist was wonderful and explained everything easily and professionally. I just wanted to say thank you. We are so lucky to have the team at Greystone House, we are very well looked after by everyone.

It used to be easy to get through to the surgery and see the doctor I wanted to see within 1 week. In the last few months this has changed. I called over 30 times one morning to try to make an appointment and it was engaged each time. By the time I got through there were only 2 possible appointments I could book with any doctor at the surgery. As a result of this the personalisation of care has gone down and I’ve had to see a different doctor about a related issue the last 3 times I’ve been. It’s disappointing to see this drop in service from what was previously one of the best practices I’ve been to.

The nurses at Greystone House are fantastic. Teresa Meeke was really kind, nice patient and understanding about my needle phobia. The phlebotomist Caroline Smith was also brilliant and my blood test with her was very comfortable, I could hardly feel the needle at all. Again, she was very understanding about my phobia. The receptionists are mostly very pleasant and helpful except for an occasional impatient one. If I am being completely honest, my experience with the doctors has been less positive. One doctor didn't phone me for my telephone appointment, despite the fact I know that the correct phone number had been given. Another doctor was bordering on rude to me, telling me to stop asking questions, and a third made a number of snap judgements about me. There also appears to be a slight communication problem sometimes, in that incorrect information is given out, or you are told contradictory things by different members of staff. But perhaps that is common in any large practice. I can remember when Greystone House only had five doctors (in it's original building) and I have to say things did seem to run a little more smoothly then, and Dr Watson, Dr Wilson and Dr Aslett were always so very helpful. (Dr Aslett I know is still working at this practice.) Shame things have gone downhill a little bit since then.

The receptionists are always polite and helpful and if I have been really unwell I have always been seen on the same day. The nurses are excellent and the doctors have always taken my condition very seriously.

I was seen by Dr Joe Mcgilligan and Nurse Theresa Meeke who performed a minor op for me. They both put me at ease and made me feel relaxed about the procedure. Dr Mcgilliga n explained the procedure clearly and I felt fully involves in my care and treatment. Theresa was really supportive and helped comfort me when I was a bit nervous at the start. Together they were a great team, really chatty and kind. I cannot fault either of them and feel really lucky to go to a GP surgery that has such wonderful staff. A big thank you as well to Nurse Georgina Hills who gave me some fantastic and reassuring advice when I was worried about my dressing coming off in the night. Overall a brilliant surgery with even better staff!
